Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 salmon fillets (6 oz each)
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare your ingredients by rinsing and drying the salmon fillets. Season both sides generously with salt and pepper.
  2. In a skillet, melt 2 tbsp of butter over medium-high heat. Once foaming, add the salmon skin-side down and sear for 5-6 minutes until golden brown. Flip and cook for another 3-4 minutes until cooked through. Remove from skillet.
  3. In the same skillet, lower the heat to medium and sauté the minced garlic in additional butter (if needed) for about 30 seconds.
  4. Pour in the heavy cream, adding lemon juice and dried thyme. Simmer for 2-3 minutes until thickened, seasoning with salt and pepper.
  5. Return the salmon to the skillet, spooning sauce over each fillet for a minute before serving.
