Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box (15.25 oz) cake mix (vanilla or chocolate)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup frosting (store-bought)
  • 12 oz chocolate melts (for coating)
  • 10 lollipop sticks

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking pan lightly. In a bowl, mix cake mix, eggs, and softened butter according to package instructions. Bake for 25-30 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  2. After cooling, crumble the cake into fine pieces in a large bowl.
  3. Mix half of the frosting with the crumbled cake until a dough-like consistency forms; add more frosting if needed.
  4. Roll mixture into one-inch balls and chill on a parchment-lined baking sheet for 30 minutes.
  5. Melt chocolate melts according to package instructions. Dip one end of each lollipop stick into the melted chocolate and insert it halfway into each ball.
  6. Coat each pop with melted chocolate and place back on parchment paper to set.
  7. Add sprinkles while the chocolate is still wet, then let them harden completely at room temperature or in the fridge before serving.
