  • 1 lb fresh lump crab meat, picked over for shells
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (1 stick)
  • 1 cup plain breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley or chives
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  2. In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the butter and sauté the minced garlic until fragrant. Remove from heat and set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, combine crab meat, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, lemon juice, herbs, and half of the garlic butter. Gently fold until mixed.
  4. Form the mixture into round balls using your hands or an ice cream scoop and place on the baking sheet.
  5. Drizzle remaining garlic butter over each crab bomb and optionally sprinkle extra breadcrumbs on top.
  6. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown and heated through.
