  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 2 fresh jalapenos, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup raw honey
  • 4 brioche buns
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Marinate chicken breasts in buttermilk with salt and pepper for at least 1 hour in the refrigerator.
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a deep skillet to about 350°F (175°C).
  4. Remove marinated chicken from buttermilk, dredge in flour mixture, and fry in hot oil for 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  5. In a saucepan over low heat, combine chopped jalapenos and honey; stir until mixed and warmed through.
  6. Toast brioche buns lightly. Assemble by placing fried chicken on the bottom bun, drizzling with jalapeno honey sauce, and topping with the other half.
