  • ½ cup unsalted butter (1 stick)
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • ¾ cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ cup creamy peanut butter

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a saucepan over low heat, melt the unsalted butter. Stir in both sugars until smooth.
  4. Allow the mixture to cool slightly before whisking in eggs one at a time and adding vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  6. Pour half of the batter into the prepared pan. Drop spoonfuls of peanut butter over it, then add the remaining batter on top and swirl gently with a knife.
