  • 1 cup shredded Swiss cheese
  • 1 cup finely chopped fresh mushrooms
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup plain breadcrumbs
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup ketchup (for topping)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and sauté onions and mushrooms until softened, about 5 minutes. Let cool slightly.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, sautéed vegetables, Swiss cheese, breadcrumbs, eggs, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined.
  4. Shape the mixture into a loaf in the prepared baking dish and spread ketchup on top.
  5. Bake for about 60 minutes or until an internal temperature of 160°F is reached. Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
