  • 4 cups fresh broccoli florets (about 450g)
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded (about 113g)
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup (about 300g)
  • 1/2 cup whole milk (about 120ml)
  • 1 cup plain breadcrumbs (about 100g)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. Blanch the broccoli florets in boiling salted water for about 2-3 minutes until bright green. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the cream of mushroom soup, milk, garlic powder, salt, and pepper; mix until smooth.
  4. Fold the blanched broccoli into the sauce along with half of the cheddar cheese until evenly coated.
  5. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish. Top with remaining cheddar and sprinkle breadcrumbs evenly over it.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until bubbly and golden brown on top.
